3 strength mobility movements for strong shoulders

 

Use a clubbell, dumbbell, or even a large bottle of water.

 

Please listen to the coaching instruction. Start with a very light weight. I'm using a 5kg clubbell in this video but I have been doing this for years. Pay attention to:

  • Stabilising your core - squeeze your glutes, abs and lats
  • Pack the shoulder. meaning you compress the shoulder blade down and feel the lat behind your shoulder tighten
  • Arm at a right angle the whole way you are casting
  • Stabilise the elbow into the ribs

These movements will literally bulletproof your shoulders against injury and strengthen the muscles and connective tissue. Incorporate these into your exercise regime if you want to keep your shoulders strong and healthy!
